Other Lexmark error codes

• 31.xxA supply is missing or is not answering the printer, so Lexmark asks you to reinstall it rather than replace it. The second pair of digits names which one: 31.40-31.43 a toner cartridge by colour, 31.60 the black imaging unit, 31.64 the colour imaging kit, 31.35 the waste toner bottle, 31.80 the fuser, and 31.30 the transfer module (which asks for a restart instead). Reseating usually clears it; dirty contacts are the common cause.
• 32.xx"Replace unsupported" — the printer recognises the supply but rejects it as not supported by this model. The second pair names the supply: 32.40-32.43 a colour cartridge, 32.60 the black imaging unit, 32.64 the colour imaging kit, and a 32.xy variant the fuser. This is a different fault from 31.xx (missing or unresponsive) and from 42.xx (right supply, wrong region).
• 33.xx"Non-Lexmark supply, see User's Guide" — the printer has detected a cartridge, imaging unit, or imaging kit that it does not identify as Lexmark-made. 33.40-33.43 is a colour cartridge, 33.60 the black imaging unit, 33.64 the colour imaging kit. It is a notice about the supply's origin, not a report of a hardware fault.
• 37.xInsufficient printer memory. 37.1 means there is not enough memory to collate the job, and 37.3 means some held jobs were deleted to make room. The related 39.1 "complex page" warns that a page was too complex to render fully, so some data may not have printed. All three are memory-pressure notices, not hardware faults.
• 42.xx"Replace cartridge, printer region mismatch" — the cartridge is genuine and otherwise correct, but it was manufactured for a different geographic region than the printer. Lexmark region-codes printers and cartridges to each other, so a cartridge bought in another region will be refused even when it physically fits. The fix is a cartridge made for your printer's region.
• 55.1"Error reading USB drive. Remove USB." The printer cannot read the USB flash drive plugged into its front port. The companion code 55.2 is the same fault for a USB hub, which Lexmark asks you to remove. Neither affects normal network or cable printing.
