Printhead

Printhead clogged

Major inkjet issue, especially Epson. Real procedure depth.

Likely causes and fixes

  1. 1. One or more printhead nozzles are clogged.

    1. Print a nozzle-check pattern from the printer's Maintenance menu and identify any missing segments.

    2. Caution: Do not turn off the printer or open its covers during a cleaning cycle.

If the pattern shows gaps, run the standard Print Head Cleaning command from the control panel or manufacturer utility.

    3. Print another nozzle check. Repeat only within the limit in your model's manual; cleaning consumes ink and can fill the maintenance box.

    4. If normal cleaning does not improve the pattern, follow the model-specific escalation procedure or contact manufacturer support instead of manually forcing fluid through the head.
